To Create a Physical Item Without the Engineering Designer Plugin Installed

Follow these steps to create a physical item without the Engineering Designer plugin installed.

  1. From the ALIM Web Home Page, click Physical Items in the Content pane. For example,
    The Create a Physical Item page appears. For example,
  2. Select a physical item template and then click Create and edit.
    Tip: You can filter templates by entering information in the Name, Description, and/or Classification boxes.
    The physical item page appears. For example,
  3. Enter or accept the physical item Number.
    Note: This field is required.
  4. You can accept or enter a new Version number.
  5. Complete all relevant information on the template.
  6. When you are finished, click Save.
The physical item is created.
